Fish Butchery & Selection
Understanding the Fish: Learn how to choose the freshest fish, from delicate cuts of tuna to rich, marbled slices of salmon.
Fish Filleting: Watch as our chefs break down a whole fish, demonstrating proper technique for filleting and portioning.
Sashimi Preparation: Learn the art of cutting sashimi, focusing on texture, precision, and aesthetic presentation.
Dry Aging Techniques
What is Dry Aging?: Discover how dry aging enhances the flavor and texture of fish, and why it’s a prized technique in high-end sushi restaurants.
Preparing Dry-Aged Fish: See how our chefs prepare dry-aged fish to bring out its complex, rich flavors, and incorporate it into your sushi dishes.
Sushi Rolling (Temaki and Maki)
Temaki (Hand Rolls): Our chefs will demonstrate how to create the perfect crispy nori and balanced fillings for hand rolls, showing techniques to create personalized temaki rolls with ease.
Maki Rolls: Learn how to roll classic maki using a bamboo mat, from cutting vegetables to assembling rolls with fish, rice, and vegetables. Guests can try their hand at rolling their own maki creations under the guidance of the chef.
Rice Cooking & Preparation
The Foundation of Sushi: Understand the importance of sushi rice and how it’s prepared, from washing the rice to seasoning it with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt to achieve the perfect balance of tangy, sweet, and savory flavors.
Rice Handling: Learn how to properly handle and shape sushi rice to ensure each piece maintains the ideal texture and moisture for sushi.
Vegetable Preparation
Vegetable Selection for Sushi: Our chefs will introduce the types of vegetables that are commonly used in sushi, such as cucumber, avocado, and pickled radish.
Knife Skills: Participants will gain insight into the importance of knife skills for cutting vegetables into precise, uniform pieces that elevate the sushi experience.
Interactive Experience
Guest Participation: Guests will have the chance to try their hand at rolling their own sushi, whether it's temaki (hand rolls) or maki (rolls), under the guidance of our skilled chefs.
Q&A Session: Our chefs will be available throughout the demonstration to answer any questions about the techniques, ingredients, or cultural significance of sushi.
Tasting: Participants will enjoy a tasting of their creations, as well as sample a variety of signature sushi made by our chefs.
